Brands can now monitor and respond to their Play Store reviews in real-time; in the same Engage Inbox, they manage reviews/conversations from other channels like App Store, Facebook, Google Business, Instagram & more.
For each Play Store Review in Engage, teams will get Star Ratings, App version & Device type for better context.
Let's first connect your Play Store App with Statusbrew.
Here's a step-by-step guide for connecting your Google Developer Console with Statsubrew.
- Google Developer Account
- Active Google Play Store app
Steps to be done in the Google Developer Console
Step 1 - Log in to your Developer Console, click on Settings > API Access from the left side pane
Step 2 - Click on the Create Service Account button
Step 3 - The following dialog box will appear with a bunch of tasks to be done. Let's complete these tasks!
Step 3.1 - Go to the Google Cloud Platform and then click on the + CREATE SERVICE ACCOUNT
Step 3.2 - Once you have created a Service Account, the next step is to configure it as follows:
Note: The Service Account ID is automatically generated when you click + CREATE A SERVICE ACCOUNT.
Choose a name for your Service Account (give it a recognizable name, such as SB + Playstore).
Then, click the Select a role drop-down menu and select Basic > Owner. This role will have full access to the integration, as explained while choosing the option.
Once you select a role, Click on Done. The final configuration should look like this:
Next, click on the Service Account you just created, then the Add keybutton, then Create new key. Choose a JSON key type, then click Create.
Once you click Create, a file with a .json extension will be downloaded to your machine. Save this file.
The setup with the Google API Console is now done.
Step 4 - Back in the Developer Console, click Finished in the pop-up. The newly created Service Account will appear. Click on the Grant Access button for the newly created service account.
Step 5 - Now, ensure the newly created Service Account has the correct permissions. You need to uncheck all of the permissions except for View app information and Reply to reviews.
Step 6 - Click on the invite user button once it's done!
