Using Publish Category in Compose
The publishing category can be used in Compose while creating a post in Statusbrew and scheduling it. Here are the steps to do it.
- Open Compose from Statusbrew Home and create a post like you normally do in Statusbrew
- Go to the Select schedule type section and click on the Schedule by category button
(By default, Customer time is selected)
- In the pop-up menu, select Schedule By Category and you will see a list of available categories come up
- Select the Category you want from the drop-down menu, and then click on Schedule
Your Post will be published at the next time slot in the respective category
Here are a few important things you should know before you could start with Publishing Categories!
Every category can have up to 100 posting times and will be a repetitive cycle of posting times that restarts every week.As a Statusbrew user, you can add a maximum of 100 categories
How to create a Category for my publishing schedule on Statusbrew?
Any Statusbrew user can create new categories. To start Creating a category,
- Click on the Home button
in the top left of your screen to open Statusbrew Home and click on Publish Category -
Now click on Create Category on the top right side of your screen and type a Category Name

Now, choose the Timezone in which you want to schedule your posts and choose the desired color for your category
Choosing a color for a category makes it easier to identify the posts with the category in the Planner.

Thereafter, choose the timeslots that you wish to push your posts on. You can add multiple times by clicking on the Add Time button
A particular time of the day when your content is published is “Timeslot” and you have complete control over them as you can specify exactly when you want your content to go out
Note:
You may experiment with different posting times in case you are not sure your peak traffic hours, our reporting section will give you all the insights into how your content performed. Our Engagement and Content section in the Reports would ease it out for you to strategize your best posting times.
- Once you have added your times, click on the Save button. Now, you can use this category to schedule your content while creating a post or uploading a CSV
How can I manage Categories?
You can start managing (edit, delete or deactivate) a Category from within the Category Section. To Edit or Deactivate a category,
- Click on the Home button in the top left of your screen to open Statusbrew Home and click on Publish Category
- Click on the three-dot menu beside any of the categories
- Tap on Edit Category. The Edit Category window will pop up
You can choose to edit details or pause the category here
- You can change the Name, Timezone, Posting Times, or the color associated with a category. Once done, click on the Update button
Or you can click on the Pause button to prevent all the scheduled posts belonging to that category from publishing. Whenever needed, you may again reactivate it from here only to start publishing your scheduled posts from the next available time slots in a category.
To Delete a category,
- Click on the Home button in the top left of your screen to open Statusbrew Home and click on Publish Category
- Click on the three-dot menu beside any of the categories and choose Delete Category
- Click on Delete
