Page-backed Instagram Accounts (PBIAs) are "shadow" Instagram accounts created for the sole purpose of running ads on Instagram. Users who do not have an Instagram account and do not want to create one for organic content, but have a Facebook Page and wish to run Ads on Instagram can create a Page-backed Instagram Account. Learn more here.
Connecting Page-Backed Instagram Account with Statusbrew
Firstly, connect the Facebook Pages with Statusbrew for which you want to connect the PBIA. Learn more about Connecting & Managing Social Profiles.
Secondly, connect the Ad account associated with the Facebook Page to receive comments on your Ads. Learn more about Managing Ad Accounts in Statusbrew.
Once the Facebook Pages and the associated Ad Accounts are connected, kindly reach out to our Support Team to connect PBIAs in Statusbrew.
Note:
PBIAs are counted against your social profile limits.
Managing Comments on Page-Backed Instagram Account
Once your PBIA is connected to Statusbrew, you will start receiving comments in Engage on the Ads that are being run. PBIA comments do not sync in real-time and it can take up to an hour for these comments to be detected by Engage Inbox.
You will be able to only hide and delete comments on the PBIA ads.
Note:
Instagram does not provide APIs to support either publishing or replying to the Ad comment for Page-Backed Instagram Account so, you won't be able to perform these actions in Statusbrew.
If you're testing out the service, do note that comments left by your page's admin/moderator won't have the "Hide Comment" option in Engage Inbox. You can delete these comments in Engage.
